A modular freestanding shoe rack that goes up quickly and keeps your shoes on visible, open shelves. You see every pair and pull out the one you want instead of digging through a pile or opening a lid. It stands on the floor, so nothing gets fixed to the wall.

Best for: trainers and sneakers, flats, loafers and sandals, ankle boots, slippers, kids shoes, guest shoes by the front door. Good in an entryway, closet floor, mudroom, dorm room or bedroom corner. Renters like it because it just stands there.

Not ideal for: tall boots with a shaft over 5.5 in - they will not fit between the shelves. Not for garage tools, canned goods or heavy workshop loads. Not for outdoor patios or damp utility rooms. The supplier publishes no load rating, so load capacity is unknown. The frame is thin steel tube - treat it as a shoe rack, not a shelving unit.

How to choose: first check the gap you have. You need at least 17.7 in or 23.6 in wide and 9.1 in deep. Then pick tiers. 3 Tier, 17.7 in wide: 17.7 in wide x 9.1 in deep x 18.1 in tall. 3 Tier, 23.6 in wide: 23.6 in wide x 9.1 in deep x 18.1 in tall. 4 Tier, 17.7 in wide: 17.7 in wide x 9.1 in deep x 22.8 in tall. 4 Tier, 23.6 in wide: 23.6 in wide x 9.1 in deep x 22.8 in tall. Shelf spacing is 5.5 in between levels on every version, so shoes no taller than 5.5 in at the heel or collar clear the shelf above. Colors: black or white.

In the box: the steel tube frame, the shelf panels and the feet. The supplier lists it as quick to assemble and its spec sheet contains no screws, and nothing gets screwed to your wall.
