Floor-to-Ceiling Tension Clothes Rack, Fits 43.3-122.0 in Ceilings

You have a tall, narrow gap in the laundry room or closet. Nothing fits there. This rack turns that empty height into hanging space. One vertical stainless steel pole presses between the floor and the ceiling. Nothing is drilled, screwed or fixed to the wall.

The pole telescopes and locks with a spring-loaded pin. Press the pin, slide the pole to the height you need, and it holds between 43.3 and 122.0 in of ceiling height. Four fold-out rails swing out about 90 degrees for hangers and fold flat against the pole when not in use. The pole is stainless steel. The rails and clamps are white plastic. Choose a black, grey or white pole.

Best for: laundry rooms and closets first. Also works in a garage or an entryway corner. It is good for renters because no wall is touched, and for behind-door gaps or narrow corners where a frame will not fit. The pole is freestanding and adds essentially no footprint.

Not ideal for: kitchens or bathrooms. Not for sloped, vaulted or textured ceilings. Not for unsupported drop ceilings or drywall ceilings that cannot take spring pressure.
