The frame is genuinely sturdy and assembly was quick. One small thing, the top board sits a hair proud of the frame on the front edge, so if you're fussy about flush edges you'll notice it. Doesn't affect function at all, printer sits flat and level. Good value for the price.
Before this I had the printer on top of a stack of textbooks, which looked terrible and slid around. Now it sits on the riser and the whole area reads as organized. I keep a binder of tax documents and a stapler on the lower shelf. Should have done this a year ago.
The riser does its job and feels well made. My issue is the clearance, it's 9.8 inches and my tall document tray wouldn't fit under it, so I had to relocate what I planned to store there. Not a defect, just something to check before you buy if you have taller items.
I wanted the white frame to match my desk and reached out first before ordering. They confirmed and shipped the white version, same spec as described. It arrived well packed with no scratches. The white is a clean matte, not glossy, which I prefer.
I run a small side business from my garage and the printer was taking up bench space I needed for tools. This lifted it up and now I slide a parts bin underneath. The steel frame handles the cold garage fine, no rust or anything after a couple months.
The riser is handsome and stable and the wood grain top classes up my home office corner. The thing I couldn't find anywhere was how much weight it holds, so I was a little nervous loading my heavier printer. It's been fine, but I'd have liked a number from the manufacturer.
I print invoices every morning so this thing gets used. Two months in and the frame hasn't loosened at all, the top hasn't warped, and the finish hasn't chipped where I set the paper ream down. For thirty bucks that's a solid run.
The riser is durable and looks good, no complaints about the actual build. The instructions contradict themselves though, one page says attach the legs first and the next shows the opposite. I got there eventually but it was annoying. Would be five stars with a clearer manual.
No drilling, no clamps, no wall anchors, which is exactly why I bought it since I rent. It sits on my desk and the printer sits on it. Underneath I keep a folder of shipping labels and a spare roll of tape. Five minutes from box to done.
Does the job of lifting my printer and giving me storage underneath, paper on the bottom, spare ink on the side. My only gripe is I wish there was a wider option than 19.7 because my printer is a wide format unit and it hangs over a bit. Still stable though, no issues after a month.
I was worried the black frame would look cheap but the enamel finish is even and has a slight sheen. Sits next to a black monitor stand and they read as a set. The wood top is a light grain, warmer than I expected from the photo, but it works.
Nothing wrong with the riser itself, it's sturdy and the finish is nice. My mistake was not checking depth, my printer is a little over 16 inches deep so it overhangs the back edge. I'm keeping it because it still functions fine on my counter, but I'd tell anyone else to actually measure depth before ordering.
Liked the first one enough that I ordered a second for my actual office desk. Two printers now sit on risers and both desks have usable surface underneath. The 19.7 width is the right call if your printer is on the wider side, mine had about an inch of overhang on the 15.7 and the bigger size fixed it.
I put this on my laundry counter to lift the printer off the surface and now I have room to fold towels underneath. The baked enamel wipes clean easy, which matters in a laundry room. It doesn't slide around even on a slightly uneven counter.
The product itself is solid and does exactly what I needed in my garage. That said, the assembly paperwork was confusing, the diagram didn't match the parts bag and I ended up figuring it out by looking at the photo. Took me twenty minutes instead of five. Once it was together, though, it's rock solid on my workbench.
I had a cheap plastic riser before and it flexed every time I bumped it. This one is baked enamel steel and it just doesn't move. I've had it about six weeks now with a 40 pound laser printer on top and no sag, no creaking. The open shelf holds two stacked paper boxes.
I got the 15.7 by 13.8 and my Brother printer fits with maybe a half inch to spare on each side. The clearance underneath is just under 10 inches, which was exactly enough for the paper tray I already had. Nothing wobbles, nothing rocks. I appreciate that they tell you to measure instead of guessing.
My laser printer was eating half my desk and I was tired of shuffling it around. This riser took about four minutes to put together with the included hardware and it holds the printer solid. Now I keep a ream of paper and my label maker underneath and the whole setup feels intentional. The wood grain top actually looks nicer than the desk it sits on.
