Cream White Storage Bin with Flip Lid, Small to Medium, for Closets

Most storage bins are either see-through and ugly, or solid and impossible to search. This one is a cream white bin with a flip lid and a latch at each end. The lid has a dotted translucent panel, so you can see whether the winter sweaters are in there without pulling the whole thing off the shelf.

Best for: folded clothes, bedding, towels, toys and books. A closet shelf, a bedroom corner, a broom cupboard floor or the space under a bed frame. Wiping clean with a damp cloth, with no fabric liner to wash. Stacking a second bin right on top of the first.

Not ideal for: airtight or waterproof storage, because the lid is latched rather than gasketed. Very heavy loads, because this is a lightweight plastic bin. Under-bed gaps lower than the bin you choose. Keeping the contents hidden, because you can see straight through the dotted lid.

How to choose: Measure the gap first. The small bin is 12.8 x 8.9 x 7.1 in and the medium is 15.0 x 10.6 x 7.9 in. Both are outside measurements from the maker, so leave a little room around the bin. The lid lifts right off and sits flat while you load it, and the maker publishes no load rating.

In the box: one cream white bin, one flip lid and two grey latches. The lid is not hinged. Small weighs about 1.3 lb, medium about 1.5 lb. No tools needed, and it wipes clean with a damp cloth.
