Wall-Mount Tool Rail for Brooms and Mops, 17 or 34 in
I used to lean my broom in the corner. It always fell over. Now it hangs on this rail and the corner stays clear.
You get two lengths. The 17.0 in rail is one board with 5 hooks. The 34.0 in rail is two 17.0 in boards end to end, 5 hooks each, so 10 hooks in total. Pick the one that matches the wall run you actually have.
- Black iron, orange hooks. A bracket, screws and wall plugs come with it. That is the whole install.
- Built for long handles. Brooms, mops, rakes, shovels, hoes, dusters - the things that normally end up on the floor.
- Two lengths, one system. 17.0 in for a narrow strip of wall, 34.0 in when you have more room.
- Nothing to assemble. Screw the bracket to the wall, drop the handles in.
One thing I will not do is invent a load rating. The maker does not publish one, so I am not going to guess at a number. It holds normal cleaning gear and hand tools; keep ladders and anything that swings off it.
Measure your wall run before you order, and find your studs if you can. The plugs will do the job on a solid wall, but a stud is better.
Best for: Broom, mop and rake handles, shovels, hoes and dusters - the long things that normally end up leaning in a corner or lying on the floor. Garage, shed, laundry and utility room walls.
Not ideal for: Hollow drywall with nothing behind it, wall runs under 17.0 in, and anything that needs a published load rating. Keep ladders and anything that swings off it.
How to choose: Measure your wall run first. The 17.0 in rail is one board with 5 hooks; the 34.0 in rail is two 17.0 in boards, 10 hooks in total. Pick the length that matches the run you have. Find your studs if you can - the wall plugs do the job on a solid wall, a stud is better.
In the box: The hook board or boards for the length you pick, one bracket, screws and wall plugs. Nothing to assemble.
