Fan File Rack for A4 Folders, 6 Slots, 13.2 in Wide

A4 folders stack flat, and then you lift each one to work out what is inside. This rack stands them up in a fan instead: six angled slots, so every binder and folder sits with its spine tipped toward you and you can read the whole row without pulling the pile apart.

It is a moulded plastic rack. The side panel is curved and the front of the base is cut away in a step, so the rack sits flat on a desk and you can still get a hand under the front folder. The maker fits the panels with a mortise-and-tenon joint and reinforces the joints with screws.

Best for: a desk with about 13.2 in of clear width and 10.9 in of depth, and the shelf of A4 paperwork that never quite gets filed.

Not ideal for: letter-size hanging files, because there are no rails to hang them on, or books taller than about 10.9 in. It is made to sit on a desk - it is not built to be wall-mounted or stacked.

How to choose: there is one size - 13.2 in wide (33.5 cm), 10.9 in deep and 10.9 in tall, with six slots. The fan angle is fixed.

In the box: one flat-packed rack. The panels slot together and the joints are screwed.
