A bike parked against the garage wall takes up more room than it looks. The handlebar sticks out, the pedal catches your shin, and the front wheel turns every time something brushes past it.

This bracket lifts the bike onto the wall instead. The frame rests in two rubber-sleeved arms and the whole thing hangs vertically, so the footprint on the floor goes to zero. It reaches 15 in (38 cm) off the wall at full extension and pulls back to 11 in when you push the arms in, which is the difference between a bike sitting flush and a bike sticking into the walkway.

The head swivels. That sounds like a spec-sheet line until you use it: you can turn the cradle until the bike sits level with the wall, then tighten it and leave it. There is also 30 degrees of tilt at the joint, which is what lets the bracket take a sloping frame without the bike hanging crooked.

Steel tube, powder coated, rubber sleeves on both arms. The sleeves are the part that matters. Bare steel on a painted frame will rub through the clear coat where the bike sits, and that mark does not come out. The rubber also stops the bike from sliding sideways when you hang it one-handed.

Mounting is four expansion bolts into a stud or masonry, and the wrench is in the box. The plate is 4.5 in tall so the load spreads down the stud instead of pulling on two screws. Do not put this in drywall with nothing behind it.

The maker rates it at 132 lb for a static hang. That covers a normal road, gravel or mountain bike with room to spare. It is not an e-bike hook: a 60 lb e-bike with a battery is over what we would hang on two bolts, and a motorbike is out of the question. The two-pack exists for the second bike, not for a heavier one.

Best for: a garage or shed where one or two bikes keep ending up on the floor.

Not ideal for: e-bikes near the rating, motorbikes, or walls without a stud.

How to choose: one bracket per bike. If the bikes are wider than 10 in across the frame, take the two-pack and space them 24 in apart.

In the box: wall bracket with telescoping arms and swivel head, four expansion bolts, one mounting wrench.
